Still to be stuck in the “view/wp-stats-dashboard/graph.php?_nonce=1518b07c1b” error. Looks like Jetpack and WordPress.com are all set up correctly. With this error going into 6 months without resultion, I’m going to have to finally give up and delete this from my sidebar. WOuld hate to that. It was my favorite widget when it worked. :( …Any last ditch ideas for why the graph would only show this line of text? Please?

what do I need to do to fix this?

I’ve loved this plugin; I use it along with Jetpack. Recently I updated plugins and this along with Jetpack stats and the w3counter stats stopped collecting data. I’ve tried deactivating all the plugs and running only Jetpack and WPSD alone to no avail. My wordpress.org installation is up to date. Do you have any ideas as to what I can do to fix?

    Thank you,
    Maggie

Just wanted to chime in that I am getting a similar error being reported by other comment posters… I’ve installed everything but when I go to load up any trends on the dashboard, all I get is this:

    ../wp-content/plugins/wp-stats-dashboard/view/admin/graph_trend.php

    Thanks!

Hi guys, I seem to be having the same problem as Robert (28Aug) and Phil (26Aug) in that my sidebar graph only shows “…/graph.php” text. This problem has only popped up recently. Switched to Jetpack and reinstalled everything to no-avail. Thoughts? :(

    Hey there,
Thanks for the great plugin, I have been using it for quite some time now and is my main source of site stats. However – it decided to stop working for my seperate WP instllation on one my subdomains. It stopped working on my main domain too for a bit, but rectified its own mistake the day after – no worries there…but the subdomain is still not showing any stats for about a month now.
The top widget, visits per day, stays yellow and shows ‘undefined’ when you hover a mouse over it. I tried disableing both WPSD and Jetpack and reactiviting them both but no use there. Any idea?

We just installed this for our blog and it is well worth the install time. Having so many ranks in front of you when you log in motivates you a little more as well ;-) Thanks for the plugin.

How do I fix this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi guys,
Great plugin but i’m having issues. The charts dont seem to load, instead im presented with a piece of text “…/wp-content/plugins/wp-stats-dashboard/view/admin/graph.php” any ideas? I also cannot see social media stats in the iPad app.

The app (WP and iOS) seem fairly comprehensive but I cannot make them function correctly. Just to clarify I have installed everything correctly, connected with jetpack and wordpress.com etc.

    Any thoughts?
    Thanks,

I remember there was an option to exclude my own IP from the stats. You had to edit one of the files, but I can’t find the info anymore. Is it possible to exclude my own IP from the WP stats?

    PS. Great plugin!

For five days, I get this error: “We were unable to get your stats just now. Please try again.” I deactivated and reactivated the Jetpack plug in. NO luck. I cleared my cache and deleted cookies then relogged back into my website. I restarted my computer. No dice. This is the second time this has happened. I’m looking for an alternate plug in to give stats. This is ridiculous. No one seems to know how to fix it. And I don’t have access to back end. My developer is the only one who does.

I forgot to mention, in the WPSD settings page, the ‘Blog ID’ field is blank even though I have entered my WPO account details and hovering over the question mark on the right of the field pops up with “Install JetPack plugin which, as I mentioned earlier, is installed.

Jetpack menu is in my main WP dashboard and my stats are working.

    I must be missing something.
I downloaded and installed the WP-Stats-Dashboard plugin.
I have a WP account and have installed the official WordPress Jetpack plugin.
I activated the WPSD plugin and entered my wordpress.com account username and password and left the BLOG ID field empty. Saved settings.
Message at the top of WPSD settings page states:

please install the wordpress.com stats plugin and follow the instructions it presents:
    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/stats/

But trying to activate that plugin tells me: Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error. Jetpack contains the most recent version of the old “WordPress.com Stats” plugin.

So I go back to KetPack and it seems all setup and connected to WordPress.com
    JetPack is installed and configured.

I go back to WPSD and still the red error message at the top tels me I must install the wordpress.com stats plugin.

    hi
I really do not underestand this. My wp site was not refreshing whilst in Mozilla and at the bottom of the screen a flashing message re wp stats. I checked out my plugins, but none were wp stats then drilling down I found wp stats but not as a plugin., Could this be part of a Woo theme as have shelf theme installed but no dashboard can be found anywhere. Is it possible that this has been placed in the theme for monitoring reasons, but even in removing the wp stats folder the refresh button in Mozilla is not live.

I’ve reinstalled WPSD and still the same. Any workaround?

I uninstalled wp-stats-dashboard and jetpack then reinstalled them.

On the Dashboard when I place my cursor over Twitter, the second zero, I see this ‘http://twitter.com/http://twitter.com/richardeward’.

I had entered ‘http://twitter.com/richardeward’ as my username but deleted that entry and replaced it with ‘richardeward’.

The LinkedIn entry in the Dashboard appears as ‘http://www.linkedin.com/in/ca.linkedin.com/in/ricward’ although I have removed that entry in the settings area and it is now blank.

    Your guidance would be appreciated.

    Hello,

We have a number of different wordpress installs in one database in our development environment. Is there a place in the wp-stats-dashboard configuration to ask it to respect the wordpress database file prefix, so that it will play nice in a database with multiple wordpress installs? As it is now, it just makes a table named wpsd_trends which does not have the database prefix at the beginning.

    Thanks,

    Hi Dave

There appears to be a conflict with WP eMember Plugin (http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forum/topic/fatal-error-call-to-undefined-method-wpsdadminconfigform). I have posted on their support the following:

I am seeing this error in WP eMember when trying to ‘Edit/Add Member’

I have updated to the latest version today, have deactivated and reactivated the plugin but am still getting the error.

When clicking on ‘Manage Blacklist’ I get a similar error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method WPSDAdminConfigForm::getValue() in /home/mer/public_html/domain.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-eMember/eMember_members_menu.php on line 211.”

    AND…

“WP eMember appears to conflict with the plugin ‘WP-Stats-Dashboard’ by a href=”http://www.daveligthart.com/wp-stats-dashboard-10″ target=”_blank”> http://www.daveligthart.com/wp-stats-dashboard-10 at http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-stats-dashboard. Is this fixable?”

Hi. I have run into problems activating the plugin. Basically it keeps asking me to install it, and it’s already installed. I have the API Key (via Akismet) and all the sign-in info, but the plugin is asking me for a Blog ID, followed by username/API key, and I’ve tried various combinations of this info – to no avail. I still can’t use the plugin.

Note, i’m a writer, not a coder – and am trying to manage this directly. So I’m sure I’m doing something completely wrong, and apologize for the stupid question in advance.

I installed the new 2.5.3 immediatly. But the issue persits. In the Dashboard the option-Tab and the menues in the sidebar don’t expand on click. And the tinyMCE don’t switch to WYSIWYG on click on the visuell-Tab. With the first click on viusal I get on eacht line in the editor-box an br-Tag, with a second click, each line is wrapped with a p-Tag.
I think the problem is caused with a faulty jQuery-condition. But FireBug isn’t showing any error. So I can’t provide further information.
So I’ll waiting in calm for the next update. I’m sure you’ll find the problem…

Ok, so I figured it out. Im sure you all believed in me… I went to my Hosting Service, (NEXX) and went through the files, and found the one with “the plugin name” and deleted it. It seemed so simple… and this clearly made me feel like a pro. I really want to learn more! This is awesome. Thanks for the awesome plugin, although I wasn’t able to use it, I thought it looked great in pictures I saw.

P.s If you can explain to me how to install it properly, I would love to try it again. Thank You for your time Dave… ^-^

Hey Dave, I apologize in advance for my ignorance. I’m sure you have answered a million responses to certain issues regarding your plugin, and I really appreciate it! I have browsed though these comments as well as forums and everywhere I can think of, but I have yet to find a solution. I must add, I am a complete noob to Coding and website building, other than my expert knowledge of flash site-building (LAME).

I tried to enable Curl for Php but couldn’t find it. My site being hosted by NEXX, and my domain by webpricedright.com. I am learning fast, and probably would like to install the wordpress thing all on my own instead of a third party doing it for me… Meh? I have no idea where to start, so I will keep things the same I guess. Anyway, I am thinking of deleting the plugin, because since I installed it, I can no longer enter the dashboard. Not at all. Its scary since I need to keep working on my site.

Can anyone help me? Is there a backdoor somehow, or through coding where I can enter and delete the plugin? Would you know exactly how to enable CURL in NEXX… I could really use the Stats plugin, but if I can get it to work a.s.a.p. I’ll have to settle with deleting it, I just want all to work so I can continue. Thank You for your time, p.s I started a comment at this forum http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-wp-stats-dashboard-fatal-error?replies=3 Thanks!

But today I disabled all plugins and all of a sudden I was back up to speed. I activated them one at a time and did some tests.

Finally, when I activated this plugin, everything slowed down to molasses speed once again. I have the newest version, and I have checked and double-checked, and this is the only plugin that gives me issues.

I updated to the latest version this morning, and now I cannot go anywhere in my backend. I keep getting the following error:

Fatal error: Class ‘Services_JSON’ not found in /home/pitstraight/pitstraight.co.uk/wp-content/plugins/wp-stats-dashboard/classes/util/metrics/WPSDCompeteRank.php on line 54

Also, is there a way you could shorten the display of the referrer link so that it stays properly inside its box? :-)

Picky, I know, but it’s a pain when it goes off behind another box or off the screen (I have a 20″ 1680px wide display!). You could keep the link inside the href attribute but shorten the visible text to the first few characters past the domain name.

    Thx for a great plugin.

    I think I found a small bug.

in the Stats – Referrers dashboard box, the link to “other sources” is broken. It points to http:///wp-admin/index.php?page=estats&view=referrers&date=2011-02-12&blog=00000000

Notice the “…page=estats…”. That gives a WordPress error message saying “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”

When I correct the link with “…page=stats…” I get the detailed Referrer page:
    http:///wp-admin/index.php?page=stats&view=referrers&date=2011-02-12&blog=00000000

Using this plugin on my website and it gives me what I need EXCEPT it doesn’t give a breakdown of where visitors are from by country/state. Would it be possible in one of the next updates that this could be shown either as a listing i.e. USA (Texas) 27, NZ 202 or even as a pie chart. it would be really beneficial if I knew where people were and what they were accessing – this would enable me to focus my content better.
    Thanks

Somebody mentioned that when they upgraded to 2.2.2 they had the “views per day” graph too large for the area. I thought this was my host, but recently moved. I’ve got 2.4.8 and it’s still present, do you have any idea what could cause this? perhaps a plugin conflict
If you’d like a screenshot let me know and I’ll email you one..

    Hey Dave.

I updated to the latest version of wordpress and your plugin. I still have the problems with some of the social media tracking metrics.

The metrics for bit.ly, feedburner and disqus are all 0. I have activity in all of them.

Also, now backtype is showing 0 comments and tweets that previously were around 150. When I follow the link, I can see all of them however. So it’s just a dashboard reporting issues I guess.

Any ideas? How can we troubleshoot it?

When I started reading about the API key and it directs me to the WP.com site, I get the feeling that I will have to create and maintain another site?! Ugh. Am I doing something wrong here?
Are others maybe also experiencing slowdowns?

Disqus comment stats are not showing up. I put in my username correctly, but my comment stats and the stats on my site are not showing up in the dashboard. I only put in my username in field.

Bit.ly stats are not showing up correctly either. It lists only 2, but I’ve used it for tweet deck to shorten links to my site several times. I also put in my username and my API key.

Similar issue with stumbleupon. Lots lot activity, but all the stats are at zero. I entered my username there too.

Would love to get this to work!

My blog is pretty new. I installed this a couple of days ago, and just updated it a few minutes ago. Problems before and after the update: (1) it’s not pulling my Feedburner subscribers (OK, I only have 3, but that’s one more today than yesterday) — I did set the Feedburner name and if I follow the links in WPSD it takes me to my feed, so it’s not a problem with not having the right feed AND (2) the Daily Views shows zero. Unless I’m misunderstanding what Daily Views are, there have been 22 visitors today so I’d think it would say something.

On a more general note, are the various terms (like Daily Views) defined somewhere?

I think I’d like the plugin, if these things worked. Also, how about a stat for followers on FB Networked Blog?

In version 2.2.9.5 you did not update the changelog, I like to read this before updating, so I’m staying on 2.2.9.4 for now!

Also Surely this post should display latest version no and correctly link to the official WordPress repository at http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-stats-dashboard/ which does have stats as to number of downloads etc – surely any link here that is not the WP repository is only for BETA versions!!!.

I love this plugin, I just have one complaint, and that is that it seem that you push updates way to often. Bugs I found are in the use of bit.ly link that links back to your page regardless of having set up my own api and redirects. Also facebook pages / profile doesn’t work and it won’t count the user base number.(I no longer use facebook but it didn’t work when I was a user)

The flash alternative works perfectly for me. Thanks for solving that.

I still have this issues. But i heard no-one else about it. So maybe i’m the only one so i will make my own work around for those.

    Hyves:
It does not see the friends anymore. I think because the friends amount is not shown on the xml itself on hyves.

    Facebook:
I needed to input my secret id and other FaceBook Api details hard coded in the script to get it to work (Could we get a field within the setting screen to input that?)
Also the link behind the amount of Facebook friends points to my own site instead of FaceBook. I could not really find the reason for that.

    BlogCatalog:
Is it possible to get an input field to input which link you used on Blogcatalog.

I still have the same issue as thomas reported earlier.

I saw that in IE 7 it is not extra wide but than it just says: day(x), amount(y) and the chart is empty most of the time
In firefox the chart is really wide ruining the view.

Maybe that helps finding a solution.

Hello Dave! I’ve been using your plugin for a while in my blog and it was working perfectly fine until the last update (2.2.2). After this update, the Stats-Trends graphics became so huge that over 80% of it fall off the screen. It happens to all browsers I’ve tested (Chrome, Firefox, Explorer, all latest versions).
I don’t know if this problem is a result of any plugin conflict, since I didn’t installed any before the 2.2.2 update. Anyway, here are the other plugins that I’m using:
    AddThis 1.6.7

    Hyves check is not working.
for the facebook check i had to manually input the developer secret id and site id before it worked
And is it possible to get a field to input which link you use on blogcatalog. Cause i use http://sitedomain.ex/en (en for the language) on blogcatalog. So now i had te manually adjust your code. But it is annoying to do that every release :)

    Hi,

WP-Stats-Dashboard is having issues with my WordPress.com Username and/or Password. I have this wp.com account for over a year.

I have 2 tabs open. One with the WP-Stats-Dashboard Settings screen, and the other with the http://wordpress.com/profile/ login screen.
I copy+pasted the UserName into each screen, then I copy+pasted the password into each screen. Then I click the “Log In” and “Save Changes” buttons. I successfully login to my WP.com account and I’m presented with this error message by WP-Stats-Dashboard :
“WordPress.com Username or password is incorrect. Stats will not load. Please create an account at http://www.wordpress.com afterwards use those credentials below.”
I logout of WP.com and repeat the same but this time I type in my Username and Password. Same result.

I’m under the impression that some special characters in my Password are not properly handled by WP-Stats-Dashboard when passed onto WP.com.

    Hello Friend,

I enjoy your wp-stats-dashboard plug-in, it adds to my happiness as a WordPress user.

I do apologize for waiting until I have a problem before saying thank you for the plug-in.

Across the top of every admin page I get: “Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/user/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-stats-dashboard/classes/util/metrics/WPSDGoogleSocialGraph.php on line 138″

On my dashboard, the Stats – Overview (under General Social Metrics) shows the above warning between Backlinks and Social Graph. (their first 15 entries each shows a score of 27/26). I suspect this ‘greater than 1 fraction’ is the culprit.

Okay, now the error has stopped appearing. Ahhh, do I still tell your about it or wait until it happens again? Anyhow….

Again, thank you for developing the wp-stats-dashboard plug-in.

May I mention also that I am very impressed with your chosen avatar. The suit and tie enforces, even demands, the conjured perception of your high degree of professionalism. (It does not matter if you work in your pajamas, just don’t tell the clients.)

    Thank you.

I like your stats plug-in and would like to make two suggestions.

    1) – Not all of the “General Social Metrics” might be of interest to everyone. Allow people to choose which they would like included in the dashboard.

    2) – Allow us to select a default trend value.

    Keep up the good work.

Just installed this plugin yesterday but there are no stats although my bit.ly account indicates click throughs to the site. When I mouse over the stats graph it says “undefined”. I’ve checked some other forums and made sure that is in the footer but it’s still saying undefined. Any idea how to fix this?

    dave,

sure no problem, the site is mentioned in my name, i have tried posting a few times, but it seems that if i put an url in the comments it gets blocked, but anyway it is in my name. and it is still specifically for affiliate links it does not work, for other urls it work fine.

    Hi Dave,

Thank you for the reply, Its just we are very much fan of your plugin as it present the best way of viewing stats for the blog owner, I use the other stuff (analytics, statpress), but good to know :)

But it is odd it sometime works, when i click on a link on the blog it certainly gets registered, but if I click on an affiliate link in one of the posts it never gets registered, same goes for affiliate links in any widget.

    Kind regards,

    Jens

    Hi Dave,

I help maintaining a blog for a friend, and we use your cool plugin. however there is one thing which we are struggling with, the click stats doesn’t represent the actual value. Sometimes we can see which outgoing links people are clicking on but for the most the number is not the same as i can see in google analytics and in affiliate statistics.

Do you have any idea where we should start for troubleshooting?

    BR,

    Jens

Dave, my site uses some other site analysis software on its server, but it just doesn’t meet my expectations. But your plugin seems so much better, but I can’t seem to get it to work. I must not be inputting the right blog ID because graph on my dashboard says undefined and is not registering the visits and just says undefined when i pass the mouse over it. How can I find my blog ID? Thanks for your help.

    Hi Dave!

I love your plugin, and I have used it for a long time, but since I created a new blog in a different domain, I havent been able to use it at all. I have installed it correctly, but when I click on my dashboard, i get the following errors:

PHP Warning: touch() [function.touch]: Unable to create file E:\home\diretornak\Web\wp-content\plugins\wp-stats-dashboard/../../cache/wp-stats-dashboard/d21652a4071817f8c48ff68afe8e1787_cache because No such file or directory in E:\home\diretornak\Web\wp-content\plugins\wp-stats-dashboard\classes\util\WPSDUtils.php on line 52…

Any ideas on whats going on? I have created the “cache” directory under “wp-content” and it’s set to readable and writable, but still nothing =[

    Thanks in advance!

Dave…that did, indeed, work! I imagine there’s no way to re-capture the last few days of lost stats, but I’m delighted to have your lovely Plugin working again – thank you so much for your generous help!!

hi dave…very kind of you to offer tech support. i’ve been happily using wp-stats-dashboard successfully for a few months now. yesterday my site went down. i was able to troubleshoot that problem effectively (turned out the footer of my wp theme had a nasty “eval” code with a link to “diet pills site” (yuck!), which I removed — but my stats haven’t worked since. i’ve de-activated & re-activated the plugin, re-entered the api key, but still nothing is working.

any advice would be so appreciated…thank you!

    Hi Dave,

I downloaded your plugin, and under the Word Press settings, it says this:

“wp-content/cache does not exist: please make sure that the “wp-content/cache” directory is created.”

It also asks for the “apache log path” and “type”. A previous post seems to ask a similar question, but I don’t know where to put the directory and what to type in. Please help!

    Hello Dave.
Recently I took a wordpress hosted blog and moved it over to be hosted on our blog servers. Ever since the switch your blog stats plugin has not been working. Everything to do with the key seems to be alright and Askimet is working just fine all is green to go. Do you have any ideas as to what I might need to change to get this working again?

    Thanks.

    Hi Dave,

after updating to version 1.4.5 the chart seems no more to work like in version 1.4.0, the columns are splitted in region A and region B. As I said, in version 1.4.0 it worked fine. The directory ../wp-content/cache exists and is writable.
And in my case it’s not possible since version 1.4.5 to open the Dashboard Widgets “Post views”, “Referrers”, “Clicks” and “Search terms”.
Is there anything else to configure?

    Kind regards
