I’ve just released a plugin that integrates Hyves into WordPress. A while ago I started the idea to introduce Hyves into the WordPress community. Simply by writing a plugin that would expose the Hyves Social API to the WordPress API. This plugin enables you to import Hyves friends as subscribers. A nice feature is the My Friends Cloud in the dashboard. It still requires a lot of effort but the foundation is laid out.

Great idea with a lot of potential. I think the import of friends to WordPress is a nice one – if that means they’ll get automated updates now – but what would really be an awesome trick is when you could import Friends of a certain Hyve / Groep into BuddyPress as a group of friends and start a community on your own.
Is that even possible?
