Duken.nl is the brainchild of Jerry Koelman and came into existence in 2002. Since then Duken.nl has provided the folks of The Netherlands tutorials on how to make the best use of software that enables oneself to download media from the internet. “After contacting Dave about a redesign and full migration from Joomla to WordPress of the website Duken.nl he started the process. Within a few days he created a new design based on my wishes. It was spot-on. After a few changes the design was there and the WordPress theme development was started.

In his own test environment the new website Duken.nl was online. My new wishes were picked-up and his own ideas were added also. This made the website even better than I could have wished for.

Multi language was a requirement for this project; (English, Dutch and German). The WordPress Multilanguage Plugin (short WPML) was quite useful for this. The html  is SEO semantically optimized and for the nice looking headers we used Cufon. We also optimized the website for performance (faster loading times).

Novapars Capital is an investment firm based in the Netherlands. They recently acquired the German loan portfolios from the bankrupt DSB bank. They were recently mentioned in all the major business news headlines in The Netherlands.

Installation Tips

  1. Firstly download and install the WP-Stats-Dashboard plugin.
  2. Secondly you will need to create a wordpress.com account.
  3. Install the official WordPress Jetpack plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/jetpack/ to connect to WordPress.com.
  4. Activate the WPSD plugin and go to the settings page. Enter the wordpress.com account username and password and leave the BLOG ID field empty (this will be automatically filled in).
  5. Optionally for the last part you can enter all usernames for your online profiles on the wpsd settings page or purchase our service to optimize it for you.
